The cross-border mobility infrastructure between Parkstad Limburg and the Städteregion Aachen has, in spite of all positive results, still room for improvement, especially the railroad grid.

To Parkstad Limburg and the city of Heerlen, we stressed the developments around the two new campus areas of the RWTH and the population of Aachen, which is still growing. These are excellent chances for a region in times of a crisis to take advantage of.

Accordingly, we worked out a concept under the name of knowlinx wherein we presented the 4 priority projects of the region as a whole. The portal www.knowlinx.eu was developed and maintained by stellwerk. The first tangible result is that the realisation of the new railroad connection Via Avantis was accelerated. There are high investments allocated from the dutch government as well as the province of Limburg.

stellwerk also supported a subsidy application of the german public transport authority AVV to the goverment of North-Rhine-Westfalia. In the meantime, stellwerk devised the overall management for this interdisciplinary project.
