Rail infrastructure in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine – 
development demands by the IHK Aachen 
(2008/2009)

The chamber of commerce Aachen (IHK) has an important role in the future traffic development in its region - and due to its location - its neighboring regions. Therefore, amongst other things, rail and road traffic concepts are developed for a sustainable development of the existing network.

For the recent "Verkehrsleitbild Straße" (masterplan road), the visualisation was accomplished by stellwerk. With a combined map/list layout on a cartografic basis of the region, all demands of the IHK are present at a glance.

stellwerk also provided the IHK with the "Verkehrsleitbild Schiene" (masterplan rail) for the entire Euregio Meuse-Rhine. It bases on a completely new map of the region and combines an overview of all existing rail-infrastructures (passenger and cargo) in the region with all development demands concerning infrastructures and train-services.
